The trek begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, followed by a scenic private drive toward Jagat. From there, the trail gradually climbs through Simigaun, Dongang, Beding, and Na before reaching the breathtaking Tsho Rolpa Lake. Beding and Na are among the most important settlements in the Rolwaling Valley, and the area is valued for its traditional village atmosphere and relatively untouched mountain culture.

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu, Trip Briefing and Preparation

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a Gateway Adventure Treks representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can rest and refresh. In the evening, we conduct a detailed trip briefing covering the route, altitude profile, packing list, permits, safety practices, weather conditions, and trekking expectations.

Day 02 : Drive from Kathmandu to Jagat via Charikot

After breakfast, we begin a scenic private drive from Kathmandu to Jagat via Charikot. The journey follows highways, hill roads, river valleys, terraced fields, rural settlements, and mountain landscapes. The road becomes rougher near the trailhead, so private transportation provides better comfort and flexibility.

Day 03 : Trek from Jagat to Simigaun

Today is the first trekking day of the journey. The trail follows riverside paths, suspension bridges, stone steps, and small village sections before gradually climbing toward Simigaun. This beautiful ridge village introduces the culture, landscape, and peaceful atmosphere of the Rolwaling region.

Day 04 : Trek from Simigaun to Dongang

After breakfast, we continue through forested trails filled with rhododendron, pine, and juniper. The route becomes quieter and more remote as we move deeper into the Rolwaling Valley. The trail passes waterfalls, river sections, and peaceful natural scenery before reaching Dongang.

Day 05 : Trek from Dongang to Beding

Today is one of the most rewarding trekking sections. The trail gains elevation gradually and enters a more dramatic mountain landscape. As we approach Beding, the valley opens beautifully with views of Gaurishankar and surrounding Himalayan peaks. Beding is one of the main villages of the Rolwaling Valley.

Day 06 : Acclimatization Day in Beding

Today is reserved for acclimatization and cultural exploration. We take a gentle walk around Beding village, visit the local monastery, and hike to nearby viewpoints if weather and fitness conditions are suitable. This rest day helps the body adjust before moving higher toward Na and Tsho Rolpa Lake.

Day 07 : Trek from Beding to Na

After breakfast, we continue toward Na village. The trail becomes more alpine, with wide valley views, waterfalls, grasslands, glacial surroundings, and fewer trees. Na is a high seasonal settlement in the upper Rolwaling Valley and one of the most atmospheric overnight stops of the trek.

Day 08 : Hike to Tsho Rolpa Lake and Return to Na

Today is the main highlight of the trek. We hike to Tsho Rolpa Lake, a beautiful glacial lake located at around 4,600 meters. The trail passes through alpine and glacial terrain with dramatic Himalayan scenery. After spending time at the lake for photography, rest, and exploration, we return to Na for overnight stay.

Day 09 : Trek from Na to Dongang

After completing the high-altitude section, we begin descending through the Rolwaling Valley. The route returns through Beding and continues toward Dongang. The descent offers different views of the valley, forests, rivers, and mountain slopes. We walk carefully because downhill sections can be tiring for the knees.

Day 10 : Trek from Dongang to Gongar Khola

Today we descend through forest trails, riverside paths, suspension bridges, and lower valley settlements. The landscape becomes greener again as we lose altitude. By the end of the day, we reach Gongar Khola, where we rest and prepare for the return drive to Kathmandu.

Day 11 : Drive from Gongar Khola to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. The journey is long but scenic, passing through hillside villages, river valleys, market towns, and rural landscapes. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. In the evening, you may enjoy a relaxed farewell dinner or free time for shopping and rest.

Day 12 : Final Departure
