Nepal is one of the easiest country to get VISA for travel. Nepal offers On Arrival VISA to travelers of most countries. The rapid spread of COVIS-19, Omicron variant has however spead the threat of travel restrictions to some extent. Due to this Nepal imposed several travel restrictions for international travelers in December 2021 however the situation is not worst now. Immigration of Nepal has now made much easy for the international Visitors and travelers willing to travel to Nepal. In January 2022, Nepal Government has officially updated its entry protocol for all international travelers.
As per the latest decision, here are the essential documents travelers must show at the immigration office of Nepal:
Note: For the travelers travelling with the children below five years, there is no restriction that Vaccine certificate or RT-PCR report is required. However the children from five to 18 years do not need the vaccine certificate but must submit an RT-PCR report and this is mandatorily.
As per the new travel guidelines published by the officer of Immigration of Nepal. the fully vaccinated travelers can easily get the Nepal VISA on arrival at the land or air entry point by submitting the aforementioned documents. Also, the traveler who is fully vaccinated does not require to stay in quarantine.
However, travelers who are not fully vaccinated cannot obtain visas on arrival. Instead, they must get their visa from Nepal's Diplomatic Mission before flying to Nepal. In addition to that, they are also required to stay in a 5-day hotel quarantine. After completing the 5-days quarantine period, the travelers should take the RT-PCR test. If and only the results are negative, they are free to continue their travel around Nepal.
