There are two routes to complete the Everest Three Passes Trek.
Both the counterclockwise, and clockwise directions are popular for the trek. However, each of them have both sides of the coin.
Lukla → Namche Bazaar → Thame → Lungden → Renjo La Pass → Gokyo → Cho La Pass → Everest Base Camp → Kongma La Pass → Chhukhung → Namche → Lukla
Better acclimatization: A gradual ascent lowers the risk of altitude sickness.
Scenic buildup: The trek ends with Everest Base Camp, keeping motivation high.

Crossing the Kongma La is especially tough and Steeper climbs from the Dingboche side. Due to quick gain in height, there is a higher chances of suffering from altitude sickness. Crossing the Cho La glacier is more challenging from the clockwise direction.
The total distance of the trek is roughly 166 km (103 miles) and takes 18-21 days to complete.
